Fun Fact: Today’s the summer solstice, and Google commemorated this by having Takashi Murakami doodle something for the occasion. One of the witches, Charlotte, and her realm, from the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica, was (in both forms) inspired by Takashi Murakami’s work. You might be able to see it in a comparison between Mr. DOB and Charlotte:
Some may also recognize that he’s also done the album artwork for Kanye West’s Graduation.
Edit: Since it’s the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere, haruhisuzumiya-sosdan told me Murakami did another one as well. Cool stuff:
